When to dieselfiltersonline.com and found two oil filters. Which one do I use? What is the differance?

When to dieselfiltersonline.com and found two oil filters. Which one do I use? What is the differance?

I believe the W model has been packaged to sell at retail stores. Whereas the non-W model is just the Ford packaging you would see if you picked it up from the dealer. Some have even theorized the W stands for Wal-Mart since they have a tendency to force manufacturers to sell at deep discounts and customize packaging/model numbers so they can't be comparison chopped.

What I was told once was that it is the same filter, but the "W" is in a white box - no Motorcraft or International or Racor labeling. Not sure how true or what that means really (ie are they factory "seconds" or is it to save money on packaging).
