OK...I now have a bad leak on my 02 F350. It is visible from under the truck right where the tranny bolts up to the engine.

I still have about 1300 miles left on the 100K Powerstroke warranty, but need a recomendation on a dealer near Cleveland, OH. I really don't want an inexperienced dealer working on my PSD (they work on gassers most often). I need a dealer with lots of PSD experience.

Anybody have any suggestions?

I know that Kelpic in Garrettsville has a great Diesel Mechanic and they sell many PSD. Being from Cleveland I would look to the dealer on the west side, the large one off RT 10/480???. They are a super duty and large truck dealer with F250-750 sold. I just don't remember what the name is. Your oil leak is most likely coming from your turbo pedestal or HPOP and both are cheap but time consuming fixes.

Oil leaks at the turbo pedistal are common. They oil leaks down the back. If it's under 100,000 miles take it to the dealer... its covered. The HPOP also is a good place to look. Oil will also run down the back. There are also issues with the oil galley plugs coming lose on early years PS's. This will also cause a drop in pressure.
They are on the back of the block. I would check the turbo first.

I just got my whole engine replaced at Mullinax Ford in Wickliffe. They have a Diesel Mater Tech and I highly recommend them. Don't go to Classic or Marshall Ford. My truck was in and out of those two for 3 months and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with my truck. Took it to Mullinax and the next day they said my engine had low compression in 2 cylinders. They anded up putting a new long block in. This was with 10 days left on the 5 year warranty and 98k miles. They got the job done. Give them a call. 440-585-8000.

Mullinax is where I take my truck to when I am at home at not at school. They are pretty easy to work with. Although my warranty is now expired /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif....

I dropped the truck off at Valley Ford Trucks on Canal road tonight. They only sell Ford trucks...no cars on their lot other than a few used trade ins.

I figured if anybody knows diesels, it would be them...all they sell are superduty's, dump trucks, and medium duty trucks.

Has anybody had any experience with them?

If things don't go well with Valley... I will keep Mullinax in mind. I have had good experiences with them at the Lincoln Mercury dealer they operate in Brunswick...do you suppose they have a diesel tech in Amherst?

this might be a long shot, but worst case scenario, if you can get it to cincinnati i would highly recommend beechmont ford. if you need the name of the service tech i use, let me know and i'll PM you. like i said, long shot, but figured i'd mention it. good luck.

I'm sure Valley is good, I actually called them to make an appointment, but they didn't want to work on my truck because 2 dealerships already did, and they said they didn't know if the first two screwed anything up and they didn't want to be responsible, but I guess I can understand that.
