Recently my trucks small oil leak has gotten worse. Weather has turned a little cold -2 Celsius. I've been plugging in but on start up the truck is really running rough. Oil is leaking from above the starter and is noticeable and worse the last few weeks. Working from first light to dark so have not been able to clean the area yet or take pics. At the min i have a few tablespoons or a bit more of oil after each stop.
Looking for some ideas of causes for the leak and or rough idle (goes away when warm and runs great)

I've researched possibles as being
Glow plug harness (1)
FICM (2)
ICP Sensor (3)

No check engine light. I have a cheap code reader which i will plug in but not seeing any engine light,

Well i will correct my earlier info. Plugged in last night at about -4 cel and a good start. Not sure why the block heater was not working the other days? Not plugged in my truck is still rough at start. (last night after work) I cycled the plugs twice and my batteries are 2 yrs old 950 CCA and over 14 vlt. I put my cheap coed reader on this morning and no codes.
Lot's of oil on the cardboard from last night

Glow plugs could be leaking the oil, but not likely in my mind. If you're saying the block heater isn't working the best, you could check the connection where it mounts to the engine and see if you have a leak there. I don't fully remember if there is an oil passage there or not.

Besides that I can only recommend cleaning it up and seeing where it traces from. Could be leaking from the turbo and dripping all the way down.

That is the same ball park that I am suspecting. Either the drain or feed line on it. It's about $30 for new gaskets and O-Rings, and a (decently) easy job to pull the turbo. Gives you a good chance to clean the turbo too.

That is a good place to start. Any leak in the valley is prone to drip there.

Glow plug harness and updated turbo oil lines arrived by mail. 75 kilometer winds off the ocean so i think i will wait to work on the truck. The leak has slowed down a little but still there intermittently in different amounts. Leaving for Mexico on Saturday so the fix will have to wait until i rtn. Hopefully it will warm up a bit while i am gone.
Ordered new Glow plugs as well and they should arrive while i am away.

You could get the turbo drain done before you leave!
