any other details you can share that would lead you to this assumption?
Many times you'll see oil running down back of engine into bell housing area and dripping right below. Many 1st assumptions on this is rear main when in fact most likely to be turbo pedestal o rings.
You probly have a little shiny puddle in the engine valley if ya look in there w/ a flashlight. The oil runs out a drain hole (not visible) towards back of engine and down into the bellhousing area. This keeps the valley of the engine filling up too much.
I'm no expert and there will be more qualified users posting here shortly I'm sure with more info.
HPOP leaks also puddle in the valley and run down the back of the engine. My understanding is that a rear main seal leaking is not common on these engines, so I would check all the other more common oil leaks first.
ok i went and checked everything out and it ended up being diesel that leaked from the fuel/water seperator through the hole on the back of the engine valley and through the bell housing and it had a black oil look to it so i went to the stealership and got the whole rebuild kit (valve and seals) for the $61.05 and had it home and put on in an hour. problem solved thanks guys for the help
