Has anyone had issues installing Optima Redtops? My fitment is absolutely horrible on the 34/78's. The included snap-in adapters did nothing at all to fill the factory battery boxes and the positive sides of all of the wiring looms were too short (the negatives are too long). I searched this forum and others and I don't see people with similar issues so I'm wondering if there's something incredibly basic that I'm missing.

Hi Bob; I replaced my truck's batteries with Red Tops. It was the first weekend after my delete and we were out of town. Tried to start the truck and nothing; absolutely nothing. I just knew that the delete had killed the engine. Anyway, discovered the batteries had died; I mean actually as dead as a hammer. Got it jumped and drove to A/zone after calling about the batteries; I'm a believer in Optima's. They installed 2 Red Tops and no they did not fit perfectly, and yes, had to cut the keeper on the positive wire on the driver's side. The adapter helped a little and the batteries are secure. I also have Optima's in my E-350 (yellow top), and they don't fit either. I have a piece of 2x4 stuck in the side of the engine battery and and another piece stuck in the frame box. ADAPT; that's how we survive.
