[F350FINALLY]

Well I am amazed. My order got entered on Wednesday and my salesman called this morning to say he already had a VIN. I guess my truck will be here sooner than I thought.

Well, things may be speeding up. I have only had to wait going on 90 days so far, next week is suppose to be my lucky week. You can post that VIN over on Blue Oval News and one of the nice Ford guys will help you track your truck's production.

I ordered my F-450 King Ranch with lots of toys two weeks ago today and got the VIN today. I've been at the local pub telling everyone I'm expecting now.

I ordered mine May 7th, in the system May 11th, and the scheduled divery date to me is June 11th! Just a little over 4 weeks...Actually 31 days, and then from today I have only 22 days left, but who is counting haha!

I ordered a 450 on 5-2. No delivery date yet. Is the 450 slower to build than the 350?

Keep in mind that it is a "dealer ETA week". So, when they tell you 6/11 (which is a Monday) that means your truck is estimated to show up at your dealer sometime that week. It can show up any day between Mon and Fri.

I just talked to my dealer. He gave me a vin# that he said that he needed to decode on the computer at his desk??? 1FTXW43R18EB66165 He was not 100% on the 1 before the 8? He also said that ford tracks with the firest two (1F) then the last eight (8EB66165) how much truth is that. He also gave me a build date of June 11th.

You can decode your VIN here.

As for tracking, the guys at BON say they need the entire VIN to do anything.

I ordered our 450 wayyyy back Feb. 23, it has been built, shipped and is due at my dealer this week /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif . That is about 90 days so I would say it is indeed possible that the 450's take longer. I do know that the transport trailers can only haul one at a time( I hear it is the rear most uppper position on the trailer). Just think you much anticipated truck wagging in the wind right at the end of the trailer.

I've got you beat. I ordered a F350 on Feb 19 and I'm still waiting for it to arrive at the dealer. Dealer ran a trace on it last week and it found out (after many phone calls) that it was on a railcar in Chicago and scheduled to be shipped to Maryland. It's supposed to be shipped to Alabama. It was built almost 5 weeks ago. My fun meter is about to PEG!!!!

At least my truck has good company. The dealer has 4 Crown Vic police cars in the same boat (er railcar) as my truck. Does anyone know the best place at Ford to complain so I get some action?

Try sharing your factoid with the Alabama state patrol (or whoever's cop cars those are) and suggest that they call Ford. That may get someone's attention.
