I will soon be getting a DP Tuner F5 with (40hp,80hp) and just wondering if I really need this overboost annihilator.
I have 2000 6spd.,straight pipe, 6637 filter mod.,and gauges.

It will probably be a good idea, there is no reason not too, they are cheap and they can't hurt anything

I'd recommend it. You'll definitely set the SES light in the 80hp setting if you plan on mashing the pedal to the floor. BTW, you might think about a new clutch. Actually, you might not have a choice after a few weeks with the tuner.

I would go with the overboost annihilator. It saves for some headaches when you have a BMW along side of you. I used to have watch the go pedal anytime I was 80+ MPH without having one, now I can keep it to the mat and not worry about over boosting.

I've never set the SES light with my chip and I mash it sometimes going up hills, never get more than 20 psi of boost.
