When I disable the overdrive it shoots the fuse and I lose my instrument cluster. It's a 2000 excursion v-10. It also won't start back till I replace the 10 amp fuse that blew. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Thanks fredvon4, I found larrys little secrets you suggested, but couldn't find the tip. I'll keep tryin.

Daryl
fredvon4, a big THANKS to you. I took the column cover off and there it was, a bare OD wire. It looks like the casting that the shifter arm goes into rubs a little insulation off every time it goes into drive. A little filing on the cast piece and electrical tape on the wire and its fixed.
Thanks again,
