Hello:
I was assembling my engine a few minutes ago and realized one of my oil rings broke. I called several places and either they don't have them, or they don't have oversize, or they want to sell me the rings for all 8 pistons.
Anybody knows where I can get the rings for one piston at 0.030"?
Thank you,
Al

When I was in the engine rebuild business you could get rings for 1 piston.

Look to some large rebuild shops, you could try powerstrokeshop.com

Good luck

It might be worth checking out:

Safety Seal Piston Ring Co. http://www.sswesco.com/sswframes.htm

and also:

Total Seal Piston Ring Co. http://www.totalseal.com/

They never hesitated to make “one off’s” back in my R&D days…

They were always surprisingly affordable and might have rings for these engines on the shelf…

Your Ford and International dealers can both supply you with Navistar rings in individual sets. A Mahle dealer can also supply you with a good set.

Hello:
Thank you everybody for the replies.
Ford only sells them in pairs for $98 a pair.
Auto parts stores can't get them.
Navistar/International dealers have them, Whoop!!!
They were around $30 per set for one piston.
Herrmann International always gave me the best service and price, I recommend them, they are in Brehnman, TX. but they can ship anywhere.
