Not sure about the night-watch, but my 148gtl has an 1/8th inch female mono connector for the PA output. If this is the case with your set up, check out Radio Shack for the appropriate male connector and wire in accordance with the 1 page PDF on the link you included.

When I did mine, I put it in the engine bay pointed out the front. That particular model needs power and will constantly draw upon your battery. I would look into putting it on a switch.

Yes, youll need to put a diode in line so it wouldnt back feed to the ignition.

get a diode that will handle the appropriate current and put it in the line. current will only flow from anode to cathode so if you place it in the line the right way you wont feed power back into your ignition (when you use the switch and your engine is off) if you put it in backwards you'll be able to tell cause you wont get any power

Find someplace in your fuse box that is only hot when the key is on, tap into that and run it to a diode, from the other side of the diode to your pa. Find something that is always hot and run that to your switch and then to the pa.

K i just went back and read the beginning of the thread again and now im not sure everybodys on the same page. Tallavana just jumped in talking about diodes so i assumed that you wanted for the pa to turn on automatically with the vehicle AND be able to turn it on with a switch while the vehicle is off, but after rereading it sounds like you were wondering if you could run a wire from the ignition(something only hot when keys on) then to the switch, then to the pa. The answer to THAT question is a very obvious and simple yes.EDIT: o ya if your doing it that way no diode needed.

Sorry, I read it to be he wanted it to come on with ignition and also use a switch to turn it on anytime. Kids are distracting.lol
