The paint code on my '94 F250 is: W7406

I can't seem to find this anywhere. Any suggestions? The truck is an odd color green, reminds me of a park ranger. But it is the original color.

I searched the ford fleet vehicle website and found that this is a fleet only color.... which means that finding touch-up paint at the parts store will be impossible.

Where did you get your paint code from? I ask because it is not a '94 color code. If it's one solid color, the code should be two letters. If it's two tone, there will be two sets of two letter codes. For the '94 year, there was three green colors. They are as follows:

Code Color
PB Jewel Green Metallic
PL Tobago Green Clear Coat
NA Deep Forest Green Clear Coat Metallic

The code is found on the lower left corner of the vehicle certification label, above where it says "Exterior Paint Colors.

Take another look and let us know what you find. Tim

A good auto body and paint supply store should be able to make you the touch-up bottle or spray can. Only problem is it will be the color it was when new, not faded as it probably is. The store near me is called Coatings International. I don't know if they have a website. Tim

The code W7406 is right above "Exterior Paint Colors"

Tim, your right, everything that I can find for the color codes are 2 letters. But, that's only if its a factory, off the dealer's lot color. If a city orders F250's in a "school bus yellow" color, the color code is different... ie, not just 2 letters. I found this out on www.fleet.ford.com.

I knew that the shade of green on my truck was a little funny looking, and that explains why I have never seen another truck the same color. Lucky me (sarcasm.... sarcasm.... ).

Now how to I go get touch up paint for this? I want to repaint the firewall before the new motor goes in.

Go to a paint store that handles a volume of paint. They should have a paint scanner that they can scan a piece off your pickup. A fuel access door works okay. It goes into a computer and makes a match for your paint. They can come as close as your going to get.

That's good idea Greg, thanks. I wonder if I can get the color in spray cans or if I'll have to put it in a spray gun.

Did you ever find your paint color? Our truck is a 2006 F-150, and it looks exactly as you described it, and we already know it is a fleet color. It is an odd green color. Our door was smashed so it was replaced with another door that is white. We have the same number W7406. We can't find a paint color that is even close, either too dark green, or too John Deere green. If you found something let us know.

Greg's idea is a good one. But, if it doesn't work out for you, this place can put it in spray cans for you. I'll give you the guy's phone and email addy if you need it. Tim
Hi Tim, in 2006 you were helping a person out with the odd green paint color. Well, we purchase a 2006 green fleet truck in 2012. The door was damaged and replaced it with a white door. We have tried to find similar paints to spray paint it. No luck, do you have this person's phone and email. Maybe we can give him a call. I know this is many years later. And yes, like the gentleman says it is an odd green. Don't really see it around.

Does it also have a DSO code? That paint number is US Border Patrol lime sherbet.
