I need to replace the parking brake pads on my 2000 F250. It looks like I have to pull the axle and then the hub. The axle part is easy. How hard is it to pull the hub assembly off?

You should just have to pull the rotor since the emergency brake sits in the raised center of the rotor. You might have some trouble getting the rotor off but once you do the small emergency brake shoes will be accessible. You will have to remove the caliper and the caliper retainer bracket to get the rotor off. Also, once you replace the emergency brake shoes you need to adjust them from the back just like the old drum brake systems.
