A welding shop, sometimes is equipped to weld plastic. A friend of mine's welding shop does this on plastic farm tanks. This could be a lot cheaper.

Ford calls it a cooling system reservoir. You can order one for your 2006from PowerStrokeShop for about $45 U.S. plus shipping.
2006 F-250 cooling system reservoir

But yeah, it takes a few days to get it from Indianapolis to the east coast of Australia. :)

Ford Parts Direct Online: Buy genuine Ford OEM auto parts & aftermarket accessories at wholesale prices. sells them too. I bought the degas bottle and new cap for $61. That was priced with shipping, and it got to my door literally the next day.

I have to say that this is one of the best purchases I've made yet. My old degas bottle was a hazy yellow color, and it had a bunch of casting sand at the bottom of it, which I was unable to completely clean out, due to all of the baffles. I can now see the Motorcraft Gold clearly.

This new degas bottle comes with the sticker telling you the min and max filling line.

I know it's goofy, but it's nice to open the hood and see that everything looks new.

99250 - if you order one from a Ford dealer in the States, be sure to tell them you need one for a 2002 or 2003 7.3L. If you tell them it's a 2006 with a 7.3L you'll confuse the heck out of them. :wink2:
