So i was talking to a diesel mechanic about my truck starting up and bogging down. i have already fixed my return line system and i have a few that need adjustment. But, he said something about getting rid of the hose that connects the fuel filter and the first injector cap and plugging each. He said that it isnt really necessary and helps to cure the bogging down and some other stuff. Anyone else heard of that?

If you did your return system right then there is no adjustment needed. removing that return line and plugging the ends isn't going to cure any bogging down.

Alright yeah i noticed a few lines that i cut too long so it must have off set the caps enough such that it made a slight gap where the o-rings seal off the caps

That line is there to direct air in the filter header to the fuel return lines instead of going to the IP.

When you do a return line set always build them identical to the previous set.... distances are all the same between injectors.

only two things, first try replacing the cap's O-Rings with new ones, IIRC they are 5/16" ID and 3/32" thick. if that doesn't work you get a return kit and replace the entire return system, for less than forty bucks. User typefour sold me a Dipaco kit with viton o-rings for about $34.

The rings get greased with vaseline before install. you'll want a seal pick.
