I have heard of a few failures of this pump with WVO so lets get a running total of failures and maybe find another pump that may be more reliable.

Hi FN74,

Do you have your pump wraped up in insulation?

I'm wondering if I cooked mine having my fuel system and pump so well insulated that I've seen 170 degrees at the pump.

Untill I pull my pump down or send it off to aeromotive I'm clueless to the cause of failure at this point.

BTW, you in the sand box or back home?

No I don't have it wrapped. And I typically see roughly 120-130 at the pump. I am not as concerned about heat in the system so long as it is around 100 at the pump. By the time the oil gets to rails, and through the injectors Ihave no doubt inmy mind the oil will be engine temp, and atomize and spray just fine. I have done some testing and found that at roughy 180 the oil has the same viscosity as #2. The short of it, I suppose it is possible you (pardon the pun) deep fried your pump... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

And I am still in the Sand Box, will be most likely until January /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif. Wish I was doing oil over here, with daytime temps in the 110-125 range, I wouldn't have to preheat squat, and filtering would be easy... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
