on a 5k potentiometer with linear taper which is the left post and which is the right. im guessing that if you hold the pot with the shaft facing you that this is right way to look at it for reference to the right and left post. am i right? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

They are bassically ambidextrious.
The post in the middle is always common.
If you are tooking at the shaft, and you rotate it to the right, the right post will be zero ohms, and the left will be whatever the rating of the pot is.

Maybe I should try and explain something you know about.
"Set the gas at 20. Start with the tap and speed at mid point. Maintain a 3/8" stickout, and keep the gun at about 70 degrees. Move slow and watch the puddle. And remember, SLAG IS A DRAG and BURN BACK IS A BIATCH!"
