You might check to see what date the article and sales info was placed on the web. To my knowledge U.S. Gear quit selling their chip quite a long time ago. The chip is an old technology chip and the new ones available from several sources are much better. Be careful if you are considering buying a used U.S. Gear chip because they must be programmed to your specific PCM. Other than that it was an OK chip in its day.

i used one for awhile...i liked it a lot actually. problem i had with mine was that it was in and out of so many trucks the pins began to wear out and couldnt use it anymore. when i had mine they had stopped making them...are they making them again? would be a great upgrade to a stock truck.

i got one and dont use anymore, would sell it but thats another story

this chip was the best at the time it was made for u s gear by ts

tryed hypermax and banks chip at the time and the us gear chip was far and away the best

had it in a 1997 sd i work on heavy equiptment and run day in and out with 18000lbs gross (truck, bed and tools) and the only chip i could take off in 2nd, not in gdandma ilke stock and other chips

I think that is the one I use. About every three months the truck starts hiccuping and sometimes dies. I have to pull it and clean all the contacts (I think the "spring" in the contacts is worn out). Works fine except for that. I have been keeping an eye out for a newer one though.

I have been running one in mine since 1997. It still works great, but the newer tunes from various tuners are better. but just realize that you can only get about 70-80Hp with any chip unless you change injectors. but I will say some tuners can get a better overall power curve than some off the shelf chips.
