today while driving home from smokin in the smokies, i noticed a loss of power from around 1200-1600rpm. i towed with the chip off because i dont have gauges. i was about 30 miles from home and decided to bump it up to the 50hp tune for a minute to try it out. all was good above 2k rpm. i slowed down in od and tried to accelerate at about 1500rpm's and it would barely get faster. dropped to 5th and it was better, but only slightly. as soon as it got to about 1800-1900 rpm's it takes off like nothings wrong. i switched it back to the stock setting and it accelerated better than the 50hp setting at the lower rpm's. in a nutshell, the power is great from 2k and up, but under 2k rpms its very sluggish. everything seems fine in the stock setting. all the hoses are on and tight, and i cleaned the terminal really well when i installed the chip. could it be a bad chip?? anything i can try?

You might want to cotact the chip manufacturer, but man you really have gone about your mods backwards. The gauges should have been your first mod. I would get the gauges on ASAP and then you can see by the boost and EGT gauges what exactly is going on.
It almost sounds to me like the tune is throwing more fuel at the engine than it can burn at lower RPM's???
