OK I know this question has been asked on here more than......you know what. But I'm gonna ask it again just to rant a little on Hypertech.
OK the rant 1st.

Sometime in the fall of 2002 I bought a hypertech programer for my 99 7.3 of the Internet, I don't remember what vendor. I've noticed in the last couple of weeks that something didn't feel right. Fuel mileage dropped, and power loss was evident. I hooked the programmer up to see if it would tell me anything and it gave me an error code of C6 and then the tech support phone number. I called them today to ask what to do. They gave me good advice up to the part where I would have to send in the original receipt with it. HECK that was nearly 5 years ago. Oh well looks like I'm out a little over $300 and I'm in the market for a new programmer / chip. NON HYPERTECH.

So who's got what and what should I buy?

If you want a portable programmer DP uses the SCT X2 unit, I have it and love it,
If you are looking for a unit all n one with gauges tunes etc... than DP has the Edge that he can put his tunes on.
I wonder why Jody can't provide the same with the SCT live Wire unit?
Anyway something to think about, when you use one of these all n one units and one function goes out you now have to go without your gauges and everything else while it is fixed. Where as if you have seperate gauges you simply replace the bad component and keep rolling.

Kevin,

Jody can do the Live wire tuning as well. We chose not to stock the live wire at this time. We couldn't wait for the EGT probe to be added so we went with Edge instead. I think it is available now, but we will not be stocking it.
