Anyone know how much fluid these trucks take? Any reason not to mix regular and synthetic fluid? Thanks.

Let's see, the gear holds .75L (~1.6 pint) but I don't see a specification for the system. The reservoir is pretty small, maybe a half pint? Then there's the lines. You just fill it bit by bit until it's full. You can use a vacuum pump and a #11 (I think) stopper to draw air out of the system but it will work itself out over time, probably puking some foamy fluid out of the vent cap in the process though.

Thanks drinky, I ordered two 12 ounce bottles of synthetic fluid so I guess that comes out to 1.5 pints. Can I just top off with whatever fluid the shop has? Does it have to be synthetic?

I'm not as sure about whether you can mix syn and non-syn fluid in p/s or trans. I'd ask Mark K's opinion on that one, since they're both hydraulic systems. I would err on the side of caution and keep to one fluid.
