I just flushed my 94 Bronco, same concept. I capped off the return port to the pump, after removing the return line, I put the return line down into a 5 gallon bucket under the truck, and added fluid of choice as it idled. had the kid turn the wheel a few times as I added fluid, till it was all clear. old fluid was black, I assume it was clear when new, but I used Mobil 1 trans fluid instead. after fluid cleared up, I replaced the low-pressure line, and filled it up.

I just did mine because it was making a little noise. Here's what I did and it work. I didn't want to drop the line and make a huge mess so I sucked it out the top of the fill hole with a small push pump used for diff bottles. Did this 3 times pump out, filled, ran, pump out. Repeat.
