Well, that little leak at the power steering gearbox didn't go away. Go figure. Now it's enough that in 50 miles, I have to top it off if I want to steer into a parking spot. So it's time to replace that seal. Anyone have any advice? 94 F250. Leak is right at the output shaft of the gearbox.

The output shaft leak is easy. Pull the pitman arm, the output retainer, and start the engine. The pressure will blow the seal out and make a huge mess to clean up. Install a new seal and the rest of the parts and you're done.

The input is another story. It requires partial disassembly of the box. I'm fixing my input seal leak with another box one of these days. It's been slowly leaking for two years and hasn't made it to the top of my to-do list yet, but it's getting closer.
