Anyone had any luck with an aftermarket, drivers side power window switch on a 2000, F-250? Mine is a Super Cab so only the 2 switch unit.

Mine works but the Auto Down is very touchy and most of the time just barely touching the switch sends it all the way down. One of these days, it's going to quit, I know it.

So far I have tried 3 different aftermarket switches and none of them work properly:

NAPA NOE 7301660 - Driver's side doesn't work at all, Passenger side works backwards
BWD WST872 - Nothing works
Dorman 901-393 - Passenger side works properly, Driver's side Up works but Down does not

Anyone know of an aftermarket switch and part number that actually works properly or should I just bite the bullet and have Ford dealer order one? I know there's nothing wrong with the window system or the factory, 17 year old switch wouldn't work.

Thanks!

There is often a misconception that aftermarket parts are going to be much cheaper than genuine Ford Motorcraft parts.
Here is another example of that not being the case thanks to our sponsor AutoNation--White Bear Lake.

Part Description: (Regular Cab, Super Cab); LH - double switch

Price: $82.86

Part Number: 14529(SW-7131)

The driver's switch on my '02 decided to die with the window down so availability drove the decision. Went with Autozone since that was the only same day option. So far it does everything I want. Push down-window down, push up-window goes up. We will see about reliability but fit & finish were just fine for a 15 year old truck. Lifetime warranty on a part that takes 5 minutes to swap so what the heck.
