Got this starter in my '97 yesterday after purchasing it from Summit for $240. It's a brand new Denso unit that others sell for almost twice as much.
Fitment is great, although the top bolt is a pain. You need a 15mm universal socket - not a socket attached to a U-joint, but a socket that has the U-joint built-in. There isn't much clearance between the starter body and the bolt head!
Anyway, it's amazing how much faster it turns over. Way faster than a Superduty starter. It reminds me of turning over a gas motor with no spark plugs installed. Just flick the key and it's running! If you need a new starter, take a good look at this unit.
