I'm installing a pre-oiler systam on my 2000 7.3 and am looking for the best oil galley access point on the left rear of the engine. I spotted a likely-looking brass plug in the aluminum oil filter bracket. Is this an access point, or would I do better elsewhere? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif Anyone have any experience they will share? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Sorry I can't help you with your question about the fitting. I am interested in a preoiler for my truck, would like any information you would like to share about the system you are installing.

That is the port I used for my bypass filter supply. It is a pressure port (1/8" NPT). Welcome to the forum.
