If an ordered vehicle has an order priority code of 10 will it be delivered sooner than a vehicle with an order priority code of 19?

We've been waiting on a new truck that was built eight weeks ago. The dealer told me it had an order code of 10, but when I looked at the order it had a code of 19. He forgot to put the 10 on it that we agreed to.

Has this been a factor in the delay?

From how understand the process, the priority code is only used to schedule production. Once it is produced then it is turned over to the Logistics department for shipping.
I can’t see why any truck would take 8 weeks for delivery unless there was a problem.

Your dealer should be able to find out why it is delayed. My concern would be it was damaged in transit and they are repairing.

Dealer said deliveries are being prioritized for deliveries to Gulf Coast areas that lost inventory due to flooding.

Now wondering...

Does the order priority code affect only the production date?

Or does it also affect the transport and delivery date? Our new truck was built at the end of October. I've followed the cotus.ford.com tracking site (which my dealer didn't know exists) and it has counted down to delivery three times and is now on its fourth countdown.

thanks
