Hey guys, I had problems starting my truck last weekend, truck would start cold but not hot, so into my mechanic the truck went. So after testing they started pulling injectors and 3 of the 8 on opposite banks had cut top oil O rings, two of the injectors had both upper oil rings cut like they were cut with a razor

These were factory Ford remans with 12-15k miles on them.

I run Delo 5/40 Synthetic 6-7k miles between changes, engine has just under 300k

Any thoughts on what went wrong so early?

X2^ It's really easy to damage an o-ring without proper inspection of the injector cup, head, or improper install.

No no nick your all wrong. Your supposed to use a 20 lb sledge to seat them right.

All joking aside its pretty common to have them tear.

Ahhh yes, How did I forget the OTC removal/installation kit came with a maul?

Hey man, you missed a great one the other week on the 6.7 forum. It was a filter thread almost identical to the one up there now. After 7 posts, the consensus was that Dieselkleen should have been added at filter change time because and I quote," ....it helps the filter settle in"
