Mine has done that too with certain race tunes. Pretty sure it is just a strategy issue. Pull your strategy with the Xcal2 and call your dealer to make sure you have the correct files.

When dealing with custom tunes...sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get it right.
Eric will get it right...just get with him about it.

Re: problems from SCT (update)

Just loaded my SCT today. All I can say is WOW /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I am expierencing the same problem as SUMMITREV though. I have yet to "floor it" with the Street program loaded. I am seeing the miss, stumble, ect. with the Agressive Tow Haul program.
I am going to contact Innovative next. Sounds like they can correct it very easily.

Re: problems from SCT (update)

SCT only advertises the highest HP ratings because they push the enevelop too hard too far for the average consumer just looking for basic power without completely building their motor. They are having problems left and right from what we hear. Any tuner, module, programmer manufacturer out there could do what they do or even exceed their HP/TQ numbers... they choose not to for reliability and liability...

Before you make the assumption what is done and that it can duplicated perhaps you should research the tuning a little more. FYI, I have tested cylinder pressures and the Diablo (which you sell) is not as safe at a lower horsepower than the SCT at a high number. Get your facts straight before coming on here a putting up your sales pitch.

Re: problems from SCT (update)

Congrats on one of the most assinine replies to a post I have ever seen!

What on earth are you even talking about? We have tested and tested SCT and we no longer sell it due to the continuous truck failures and programming issues.

We are master WD on literally everyone Edge, Banks, BD, Quadzilla, SuperChips, etc

Why do you think Superchips does not market it under their Superchips name and runs it under a seperate corporation, REASON LIBABILITY!

PLEASE know your ass from your eblow before you go throwing stupid remarks. We do not promote or reccomend Diablo to most people, it depends on their needs and use of their vehicle.

Your comparison on sct vs diablo is a joke, and you know that. You guys seem to be burning ALOT of bridges lately too... I hear it every day

From all the SCT units on this site none have complained after inital setup. I can not say the same for other units. I am afraid you are fighting a loosing battle trying to downgrade SCT. My two cents.

Re: problems from SCT (update)

I don't feel we push the envelope and your reference to SCT is a false generalization. Each dealer has their own set of custom programs, so your remark is very broad. The Xcalibrator 2 is a high tech tuning device and datalogger. It offers complete control of the Ford processor(s), both the Trans and Engine.

There is a market for various types of tuning from Economy, to tow, to all out performance. SCT offers programming for each type of consumer. There are some Diesel owners that do build a truck for power(larger injectors, larger turbo's, etc.), rather it be street driving, racing or truck pulling. We cater to those customers as well, that's why there are choices. With SCT, we take care of all of these markets.

The Superchips name wasn't dropped for liability reasons. It's because they are no longer investors in the company. Superchip's offers the same style of custom tuning via HP Tuners, which is very similar and liability would be the same....so that's definitely not a valid reason.

Selling the SCT 9415 preprogrammer and actually writing programs for a customers needs are two different styles of business. We've been doing this long enough to know there isn't any room for generalizations.

Re: problems from SCT (update)

the studder and miss you describe could also be from air filter clogged or not getting enough air with stock filter for the tune you are running..

personally the bashing isn't going to cut it around here.. and should be stopped..
the vendors dont have anything to gain by breaking trucks if you think about it..

Wow, I have been running an SCT for almost 30K miles and have not had any problems at all. Amazingly I ran a few of the products you carry, and was not only unimpressed, but one of them cost me a tranny. Now as far as Tadd not know ing his A$$ from his elbow, I think you are not only way out of line, but extremely ignorant. While I do not have a relationship with ATS, or nothing they sell on my truck, I do know of Tadd well enough to tell you he is very competent. Dollar for dollar, HP for HP, and wear on the engine to wear, the SCT clearly has the advantage.

Seems to me about the only thing you have managed to do is piss everybody here off. Welcome to TDS! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Re: problems from SCT (update)

I can't believe that you would come to this site and talk so bad about SCT let alone two great guys (Tadd and Eric) who know their product and have helped alot of us out. I will never buy anything from you or your company because of the remarks that you have made. Not only towards these two but I have never read a post with the kind of language that you used. I could go on but I refuse to go down to your level.

Nah, I definitely think you topped him with respect to assinine replies. You really need to assess your audience and their background before you start taking shots.

If you're here to drum up business - might as well move on.
