IMO, Blue or blue/white smoke is normal when engine is cold or idling for extended periods.
Excessive blue smoke can be caused by air in the fuel, insufficient fuel, contaminated fuel, also faulty injectors and or O-rings or burning oil.
Sometimes faulty PCM inputs such as MAP or ICP sensors or systems may cause blue smoke.
Sometimes in cold climates a thermostat stuck open (insufficient heat for combustion) can be a cause.
Or it could simply be poor programming. The poor idle and blue smoke would concern me enough not to use it, at least that setting....R
Call bulydawg and ask them, the answer they give should be amusing.
