Got a new truck coming day after tomorrow. It is gray with a black bottom or lower body panel. I know it's not gonna stay nice looking very long (the lower body panel) gonna get dinged, pinged and pitted. I've read over on a Corvette forum, those guys put some kind of 3m protective film on the nose of their vettes. Couldn't the same thing be put on the lower panel of the truck?? Surley others have done this???

Input??

I would linex the whole bottom. They can do it colormatch also. You will NEVER have a rock chip!!!!. I have the 3m on my wifes Tahoe LTZ it works ok on the hood but if your doing any REAL gravel driving it sucks, It chips and wears through, It does have a lifetime warranty but who wants to take there truck in every month to have it reinstalled.

I agree with having it sprayed with Line-X. They adjust the spray parameters just a bit and it comes out a little smoother than when they spray a bed, and it is guaranteed for life too.
