Had to use a torch to heat the exhaust side to get the cast iron piece from manifold to come out just to get the housing off the engine. The 'downpipe came out pretty easily, after I dropped the frigging trans crossmember. If I ever come across the "engineer" who designed this system, I'm gonna .......well, give him a piece of what's left of my mind. Also had to use torch on the 1/2" bolts that hold the exhaust side chamber. The new center section cost $325.00. When you see me next, kick me in the ass. I still can't believe I left that damn rubber ring in the tube. I'm glad I left the screen on the intake. It had lotsa rubber pieces a 2 metal fin pieces laying on it when I pulled off the pressure chamber. Now I have only one finger to type with /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif. The other hand index finger got smashed and it friggin hurts. It was a lot harder to get out than it was to install it. The new center section should be in my mail box tomorrow, and the new Baumann TCS trans computer is supposed to be here by next Weds. So, since I have to drive 2 1/2 hours, then wait at the TJ border crossing for another hour, I'm gonna wait until Wed. I need to let my damaged finger heal up a little anyway. I have learned Patience while living down here. But SOON (Aug. 15ish) I'll be back in the good ol' U.S.A. forever. I can hardly wait for the 'instant gratification' that is available in the U.S., and real junk food /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gifand real auto parts stores. I can feel my veins throbbing with anticipation for cholesterol. Oh, my feet got sunburned while hanging out from under the truck. Another ouwie /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. Baja

When my in-laws were floating their 60ft yacht /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif from Florida thru the 'the Big Ditch' and around to Baja, F-in-law said he really enjoyed my emails and looked forward to reading my 'slant on life'. He said I should become a writer and meant it. It was indeed 'high praise' coming from him, an Englishman at that. I'd probably have to start wearing a bullet-proof vest if I write what I really think. My tongue hurts enough from biting it even while reading stuff here. It's really hard to restrain "Richard Cranium", ya know. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gifBaja

******,

Where are you moving to? Southern CA?

Drive that turbo rig up north. I'll know that its you when I see someone flipping people off with their pinky finger.

Rest the hands and the brain...

I can see that now.... tattered clothing... no shoes. Piggies swimming in fine dirt or sand. Ah Mayheco. And to think, people pay money to go there. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

Ok Mel, where is the mini-cam hidden /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif? How else could you know what I was wearing /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif? People who pay to come here on vacation don't usually come back /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif. Mazatlan is a whole different world though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif. Texas has too high property taxes. We moved to Mexico 7 yrs ago at age 47 because we retired and could afford to live here. In California we would be at the poverty level. We never even dreamed that Heaven would end up being in Oklahoma /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif and still be affordable. I got the turbo parts from HERE .

Funny, my wife and i are looking for property outside of AZ, OK is one of our first choices. the southern californians have overtaken the area. my property 4 years ago would have sold for 180k (4 acres, commercial, 2600 sf house and 4200 sf steel shop). now it is worth well over 450k, and it shows on the property tax. looking at Glenpool, as well as others. time to pull up, and get out before the slump in the local market..

Husky, pull a search on Claremore, Ok awesome homes at unbelievablely low prices on acreage in a town with NO BARS but lotsa churches. Great, friendly people. I keep expecting to see Opie to come walking down the road. This town is REAL AMERICANNA. Just don't let all the other Californians find out about it. We don't want them to come screw up the place, unless they're drivin an IDI /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif.Baja
