Had to use a torch to heat the exhaust side to get the cast iron piece from manifold to come out just to get the housing off the engine. The 'downpipe came out pretty easily, after I dropped the frigging trans crossmember. If I ever come across the "engineer" who designed this system, I'm gonna .......well, give him a piece of what's left of my mind. Also had to use torch on the 1/2" bolts that hold the exhaust side chamber. The new center section cost $325.00. When you see me next, kick me in the ass. I still can't believe I left that damn rubber ring in the tube. I'm glad I left the screen on the intake. It had lotsa rubber pieces a 2 metal fin pieces laying on it when I pulled off the pressure chamber. Now I have only one finger to type with /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif. The other hand index finger got smashed and it friggin hurts. It was a lot harder to get out than it was to install it. The new center section should be in my mail box tomorrow, and the new Baumann TCS trans computer is supposed to be here by next Weds. So, since I have to drive 2 1/2 hours, then wait at the TJ border crossing for another hour, I'm gonna wait until Wed. I need to let my damaged finger heal up a little anyway. I have learned Patience while living down here. But SOON (Aug. 15ish) I'll be back in the good ol' U.S.A. forever. I can hardly wait for the 'instant gratification' that is available in the U.S., and real junk food /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gifand real auto parts stores. I can feel my veins throbbing with anticipation for cholesterol. Oh, my feet got sunburned while hanging out from under the truck. Another ouwie /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif. Baja
