I'm looking for some answers. My 99 F250 CC has just started pulling to the right. Since I'm the primary driver I can say with some confidence nothing was struck and didn't hit a big pot hole. I'm thinking the ball joints may be going (117,000 miles) How do you check to see if they are bad. I just don't want to pay for a front end alignment only to be told my ball joints are bad. Standing in front of my truck and looking at the tires it appears the right front is pointing slightly out.

Jack the tire off the ground, grab the top and bottom and rack it back and forth if there is play the BJ's are bad. I doubt this is your problem Pulling to one side is usually the caliper slide pin sticking on one side. This is easy to check. There are two slide pin bolts that hold the caliper in place, pull the bolts and the slide pins should pull right out of the rubber boots. Yours will probably be frozen. You need to lube them with Fords XG-3 lube and replace the boots if needed.
Or it could be the brake line collapsing on the left side. The factory lines are junk. I am replacing mine with SS lines wrapped in Kevlar.
PM me with any ???

Cross the frt tires if it pulls the other way its the tires. While its up in the air spin the tires to see if you have a caliper hanging.
