Just recently (yesterday) my 2003 F350 started making a sound/noise that it has not made before. The sound (kind of a vacuum/diaphram/pulsating) can only be heard from inside the cabin. Can not hear it with the hood up and outside. The sound appears to be coming from in or near the black plastic housing that is part of the adjustable pedal assembly. I have an exhaust brake (installed 2 years ago), the sound I've discribed is there most of the time. When I take my foot off the accelerator pedal and the exhaust brake engages - the sound goes away till my speed reaches about 35-37 (at that point the exhaust brake disengages) and the pulsating sound returns.
Anyone - any ideas/help?
Thanks,
Professor
