Do you want to know what damage is being done "before" or "after" it happens. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Most (I said most) people install them in the exhaust mainifold (pre turbo), on the down pipe (post turbo) the temp will be about 3-400º cooler. It's much easier and more accurate to monitor what is going into the turbo, I feel. Most of the talk on all of the sites generally is about pre turbo probe placement, ie: 1200º, 1300º and the high 1800º! If you get those readings post turbo, your next purchase probably will be a turbo! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
