Hey just curious if anyone has used the new Quadzilla Arenaline box? I know a buddy of mine got one for his 01 cummins and loved it but I didnt know how it worked on the Fords? Sounds like it may be nicer than the edge boxes and just wanted some other input on them.
Thanks

Quadzilla makes awesome products, hands down. When I had my '01 3500 Ram, I was going to buy the XZT+ from Quad.

That said, I would never put a box of any kind on this engine. It's max'd out on power as it is, and all of the research I've done indicates that any power adder will f-up the 6.0.

If it were me, I'd leave well enough alone; the Cummins can take the extra oomph, the PSD can't.

The 6.0 is not maxed out in stock trim:nono:

The key is making smart decisions in tuning and driving habits:thumbsup:

I have not had any problems with my truck and I haven't seen exactly what my truck is capable of with the mods I have on it.
I also don't beat on my truck everytime the motor turns over either.

I know everyone want to have a edge over the next guy. Everyone wants to be different but the facts are plain and simple the sct gives you the best tuning for the price. A properly tuned 6.0 is fast and reliable. Get a sct xcal3 get custom tuning from a reputable dealer and don't ever turn back. Banks, edge, quadzilla all don't hold a candle to what the sct is and does. They are all generic tuners not custom like the sct

NO one needs to explain to me that sct is the best, I have one and know this, But I think everyone can admit that while running this awesome sct it blows donkey dick that we cannot adjust the thing on the fly!! We mainly pull a trailer and im just looking for a good programmer to stack, or run solo, that i can adjust on the fly.

Sick of not being able to roll smoke all over the jackass next to me without Stoping, shuttin it down, tunning, re starting and so on.

I have the edge platinum and honestly is sucks, not enough power imo, just tryin to see whatelse is out there and what my other options are.

Im currently tryin my sct on a 50hp elite tow tune and then stacked the edge on that for a lil more giddy up when needed. Im just nervous the two wont interact well and half way across the country the thing will take a dump on me. Seems to be ok for now but I havent driven it much.

Any advice or experiance other than(Keep your sct and run that only) would be great.

Thanks, and sorry for the rant

do not stack the edge with the SCT i have done this it does not work. even when the edge is in 0 (stock) it is still able to defuel the engine when it shouldnt be. the trans with shift like chit. i have also ran the Quadzilla if you dont like the edge you wont like the Quadzilla. I ran level 6 on my edge and liked it well untill i did more upgrades and needed more tuneabillity.

Stick with the SCT u cannot adjust the tranny tunes on the fly. Talk to Eric and he will get u a wicked custom tune

the phalanx is capible of tuning like any flash tuner. with it though you are able to mix and match tuning unlike the sct. you can pick a engine tune then pick a tranny tune and on top of that you can pick your ficm tuning. basically you get custom tunes but the phalanx will allow you to mix and match everything to work with your preferences and setup. as far as on the fly i doubt it will ever be possible to do this and tune the tranny. the best you will be able to do is stack trans only tuning and a shift on the fly tuner which is not ideal. i also had issues with the sct edge combo. the sct is a great tuner and i run it. i want the phalanx and will have it as soon as cash permits. it is a better overall tuner. i like spartans sct tunes so i imagine i will be happy with the phalanx tunes and given that you will be able to do ficm tuning a real mpg gain should be possible as well as running a race ficm programing should get you 20+hp over a sct with the same tunes. if you look at the spartan tuner for the 6.4 vs the sct and the power gains this is the reason they are blowing the competition out of the water right now

Quadzilla

I have a Quadzilla Module that I bought in 2005 when I bought my truck new. It has given me dependable, reliable power settings without any complications at all- UNTIL here recently. I am not totally sure if it is the box that is doing it or not, but my rig is starting to cut out and do weird throttle things, reving up on its own etc.:icon_rolleyes:

I emailed Quadzilla and my module has the early programming in it, and the guys at Quadzilla are getting me to send it back in and reflash it, update the program and ship it back to me with me only paying 8.00+ shipping to get it back to me.

I have been pleased with the power for the money.

Some guys swear by Banks etc.. But I personally do not have a prefrence.

Mine is on a rotary dial Off-30-60-120 xtrahp.

My PMT can change tranny tuning and power on the fly and can be set differently/custom at different power levels. They are generic (stock, smooth, aggressive) but does do it.

I have been running a +140hp tune for almost 3 years now with 0 issues. That tells me that the 6.0 is very capable of taking it.

Stacking power adding devices is a darn good way to ruin headgaskets.... I would never advise this even with studs....

Eric at ID can write you a really good trans only tune to use with a module (for shift on the fly) that does not add power. He wrote me one years ago to work with my Edge. It worked flawlessly even if I changed power levels.
