I've got a question for anybody who has ever tried a Quadzilla Stealth Module on a 7.3 with 6 speed, and then tried other power-adding devices such as chips, programmers, or other tuning boxes. This question might also possibly apply to the likes of Jody at DPtuner or Mr. Boenker of Quadzilla.
Problem: Driving my truck in the +70 mode of the Stealth box, while entertaining at times, isn't all that great an experience. There seems to be "zones" where it changes how much extra power it creates. The main thing I don't like is that letting off the throttle with the clutch engaged and the engine turning more than 1600 rpms causes the truck to lurch and buck. This makes it miserable to modulate speed on downgrades while maintaining a following distance.
Question: Does the new, improved X-illarator box, or DPtuner's 80 hp economy tune exhibit these same problems on 7.3 handshakers?
