Everyone I talk to that has a 7.3 with similar mods to mine talks about how fast it is and how much power they have. I dont feel this way at all about mine, maybe I am expecting to much, Im not sure. Recently my Mpg's have dropped down 6 mpg and I feel like my acceleration is not what it should be. How do you all feel about your acceleration and power? Any ideas what could have lowered my mpg's? My buddy has a 6.0 with only a chip and he kicks my butt, I just thought that was normal. Any imput would be great, thanks

This may or my not have anything to do with your problems, but how long have you been running WVO. Not putting it down as I am a bio-diesel home brewer, but not doing it properly can cause fuel problems.

Ive only run about 400 gallons worth, would this be enough to cause an issue?

It could. What kind of system do you have? It's my understanding WVO needs to be quit hot to burn properly. This is one reason I prefer to process my oil.

I am using a plantdrive kit. My oil has an inline electric heater and is heated in the tank and in the filter using engine coolant. The thing is my mpg's dropped suddenly and I hadnt run wvo for at least a month pryer to this. I picked up my truck after getting the trans rebuilt and my mpg's were starting to go down the first time I test drove it. It makes me think it might be trans related but they changed every single part with a new one? I dont know much about auto transmitions anyways.

Sounds like you have a nice vegie system. Used properly it should work well.

Does the new trans seem to be working properly? Shifting properly? Pulling good? Did they put in a new TC?

They did put in a new tc. The first shift is nice and firm but the second is very mushy feeling. I really have to put my foot in it to get it going well. It makes me wonder if its slipping. I ended up having to get it done at Mr. transmition who I did not really trust but they kind of suckered me into it and by the time I realized it it was too late and I had to let them do it. They really ripped me off. The trans felt better than it does now right before it messed up. How would I know if its slipping?
