I have my E4OD disassembled. I made the tools needed for compressing the first piston spring and slide hammers for the pump. My question is do I really need the pump banding clamp and the other tools? Is it possible to just line up the holes and torque the bolts down? I mean it can only go on one way right?

To be shure i use 2 big hose clamps together to band pump.

Lines up the two halves that form the housing for the gerotor pump inside.

I didn't use a banding tool or hose clamps. I used a 6 inch straight edge and went around the outer surface tapping the cover back and forth till it was perfect.
