Hey,
I Just bought a TS Performance 6 pos chip from black cloud diesel and have been somewhat dissapointed.
As you can see by my sig, I had a simple 4-pos bully dog chip. It had nice power in the 50 hp seting and would accelerate well no matter what the engine rpm was.
I bought a TS with the following settings: Hi idle, stock, 50, 75, 125, fuel 7 (140).
I have had Two issues:
1.) when I kick it into fuel 7, it rattles more. Sounds cool /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif but am wondering about the long term consequences of this operation /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif. I would like to truck pull in this setting, but dont want a hole in the side of the block on my daily driver!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
2.) The 50 & 75 horse settings are worthless unless 1,700 rpms+ are maintained. It pulls harder ON THE STOCK SETTING OUT OF A CORNER!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif On my bully dog, I had much better power at the lower rpm levels on these settings. When in these settings, its a dead peddle feeling untill 1700 rpm...THEN IT GOES LIKE HECK. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif I dont think this will be very usefull for towing either.
I cleaned my contacts twice and they are as clean as i can get them. Do I have a bum chip, switch, etc?
I would hope that a chip that cost TWICE /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif as much as my last would perform at least as well!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif
Any suggestions?
Thanks
