How much air pressure did you use? I would think that a good blast of air would get it out of the side passage and back where you can grab it with a magnet. Try both a magnet right at the ball location and air at the same time down the standpipe.
I can imagine getting that ball out with picks is like trying to eat peas with a knife. :winking:
