The first thing you do is get yourself half a dozen spare E-rings, because they are widely-known to depart for parts unknown at warp speed when anyone attempts to install them on a PSD turbo wastegate lever pin. Alternately, consider going to an easier-to-install retaining device such as a C-ring or Hairpin Clip. I don't know what size you need, but you can see representatives of the type at
McMaster-Carr. Type the following part numbers into the "Find" box on the left side: 98555A120, 98395A218.
For removal, you'll want a
right angle pick.
