Ok, i did the ccv mod a lil while ago and i noticed a puddle of oil in the intake tube right before the turbo. acually a majority of it was in the piece that got replaced by the 4" pipe. anyways my truck smokes a decent amount no matter what temperature, in the mornings or during the day. buy only when it hasnt been run for about 8 hrs or so. and goes away once warm. all this oil (vapor) as i understand is being sucked into the turbo through the intercooler and back into the motor. the truck doesnt use hardly any oil at all between changes and it only has 46000 miles on it. so all this smoke as i guess is the oil from the ccv being cycled through and burnt and my smoke problems should go away once this gets burned out, probably in the next 10 years. but anyways just wanted to throw that out for comment. thanks!

The CCV doesn't put enough oil through to make it smoke that bad. Otherwise my truck would smoke all the time as I haven't done this mod yet.

I'd be more inclined to say you have a bad glow plug controller or something along those lines causing it to smoke.

I'd wager one or more glow plugs are bad. If it does it even when it's warm out, but then the smoke clears once the engine has warmed up, and you're seeing quite a lot of white smoke... possibly bad injector o-rings? Just a couple of possibilities...

Ah, yeah if the injectors were replaced it's possible that one or more o-rings could've been damaged. At first I was hesitant to suggest that as the issue based on your faily low mileage, but now I'd lean more heavily toward injector o-rings being a good possibility.
