are there 4 bolts that hold the starter on? i only see 3, but i have a feeling there must be a 4th hidden on the top somewhere i can't see/get to easily. thanks in advance.

There are only 3 bolts. The newer, SD, starters have only

nevermind, i just got it off. what a nightmare this job is turning into. at first i had just a broken off connector cable end on the solenoid. while trying to get the nuts unscrewed, somehow the solenoid is messed up now because of that stud must not be in the same not allowing for contact.

thats the exact same thing that happened to mine. i noticed it before i pulled the starter though.
