wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who helped with my problems... I am no longer banging my head on the fenders, she now kicks over with lil effort. now onto the annoying TLC things that need doing, I am looking for a decent place to pick up replacement fenders for the rear, since my brother had no clue how to drive a dually and about beat the fenders off the thing. got a new windshield coming next week, and today I am taking the bed off her, to try and re-connect the rear tank. I do not see any major problems right off but fear the worst as my brother is not known for having any mechanical apptitude... Again thanks to all

I replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter, and she started cranking just fine. So I am guessing it was my fuel pump failing. as for my problem with fuel backing up the filler tube whenever I tried to put fuel in it. Well after a 2hr fight to single-handedly remove the bed on my truck to get to the tank, I found the source of my problem there, I had a tank so full of diesel that when I tried filling it, it could not fit in the tank, lol. I felt terribly stupid... so now it is a problem with my gauge. I am not really sure what that problem could be, but I am gonna do some research and find out if I can figure out why my fuel gauge reads empty and I have a full to the max tank... Now I am having a slight problem with the Power Steering Pump, but I have another thread on that issue, hopefully it will be a simple repair . . .
