Hi all...question concerning my radio (the AM/FM, 6 CD model). There is an "auxillary" button on mine. Does this mean that there are aux-in RCA jacks located behind the stereo? Would love to have a direct connection for my iPod rather than my current radio connection.

Thanks!

You can use it for your ipod, but its not as simple as RCA's. You have to buy a PIE adapted first I believe. Someone else here can correct me if I'm mistaken.

That's what I did. Bought my PIE and monster cable and can hook anything with a stereo jack into it. I use it mostly for my MP3 player and the laptop for movies for the kids.

you need an adapter that plugs in behind the radio. You can find them on net or at local stereo shop. Most people on here use PIE brand. I personally use Peripheral. They are all about the same. The Peripheral piece has three aux inputs for Ipod, XM, etc. Dealer cost on it is $49.95 so that will tell you if your getting a good deal or not. There are also different part numbers depending on what year your truck is.(the old adapter wont work with the new trucks)

PIE has the only adapter that works with the CAN-BUS radio. Crutchfield has them for $99. I use mine for XM, Ipod, and Laptop (DVD and Voice GPS). Get a Monster charger that has a line output in the dock connector for the best signal. If you go out of the headphone jack, it does not sound anywhere as good.
