I just noticed a rapid squeaking noise when I accelerate. I can hear it with the windows down when I'm next to a building. Let off the pedal and there is no noise. Step on the pedal and the noise comes back. Anybody got any ideas? I've never noticed it before.

Can you replicate the noise by revving the motor in park? If so, pull your belt and repeat. If the noise goes away - start looking at each rotating assembly individually. If all your tensioner and idler pulleys have no play, and everything rotates freely, replace your belt.

Look at the drive shaft U joints as well, look for rust stains . With the truck in neutral & some one you trust with their foot on the brake , wiggle all the joints .
