OK, my driver door and pass. front door on my crew cab, make crazy noises and im finally getting tired of it. The driver door is the worst. I have adjusted the striker, and lock in the door, but little difference. I noticed that the strikers do have deep wear spots in them, would it help to replace those or? What have you guys done to stop this? My pass side front actually squeeks, but the driver door rattles pretty bad.

Thanks,
RG

Not trying to start anything, but I will never own a 6.0 Powerstroke. I will keep my '99 until the new engine in '06/'07 is out for a while, then maybe upgrade, but might just put a Cummins in mine /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif.

I installed some 3/8" silicon tubing in the gasket of both front doors. It stopped the rattling on all but the absolute worst bumps and seals the door better than Ford could.

He stated his fix was trading in an '03 for an '05. Has nothing really to do with this topic, I was just thinking out loud JMHO. Im glad some have the ability to just trade off their problems, I, as a "fix it myself" person was just looking for a solution to my problem. Some have provided tech, others not, take it like you wish. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Ok back to the subject. I have the same problem and I belive it is in the locking mechanism. It seems like the door is not shutting properly and is bouncing off the striker. Perhaps the 3/8" vinyl tubing will work, if not maybe I will replace the latch.

Would you mind ellaborating on your fix. What gasket are you referring to?

I to have been battling with both a rattle and a huge, incredibly annoying squeek comming from all four doors. It's driving me insane. If you could offer some advice on how to remove the panels without causing too much damage it would be greatly appreciated.
