I .have a 2000 7.3 f350 single wheel crew cab that has 4wheel drive . I would like to swap the rear end with the rear end from my 2000 7.3 f350 flatbed duallys rear end I've been told by some it will work and some it won't. My main issue is the gear ratios are different on the trucks does that matter ? I mean I think one says 7 3 and I e the other says maybe 10 4 I'm currently not home. Let me know if anyone needs that info and I can update this I need to know if it will or if it will damage something any help will be appreciated

You probably have 3:73's and the dually probably has 4:10's
You can do the swap but you won't be able to use 4wd unless you swap the front axle or have it regeared to match.
There will also be some issues with the swap...like Drive shaft may not work without modification, ubolts will be different as the dually has a Dana 80 with a larger axle tube.
You would have to get as much off the donor truck as possible

not sure if I missed anything. Are you wanting to go to a dual rear axle or you just want the Dana 80?
