Well like the title says, sometimes when I am going slow, like pulling out of a parking lot or my driveway, I will just slowly press on the brakes, and I believe the rear passenger side one will lock up. It doesnt do it everytime, but it seems to be happening a lot. I have heard this will happen if oil gets on the brake pad. Is this true? If so do I have to get new brake pads or what? What do you all think the problem is? Does the brake have to be adjusted? Thanks

You can have a leaky seal back there. If you look at the back side of the drum you will see evidence of it.

If you see no oil residue back there I would chock it up to it being a Ford thing. Mine do it too. Mainly when it is very very damp outside.

Most likely it is a hub seal or leaky brake cylinder. You need to replace the brake shoes if this is the case. also wise to put in a new hardware kit after you fix the leak. Could also be the shoes are worn and they get sticky at the end of their life if a rivet is dragging.

Factory Ford brake linings are supposedly a culprit. Mine does this in Seattle, but not in New Mexico. Supposedly they warm up while spinning, soak up moisture when parked, and freeze/expand while sitting. It only happens in a moist winter climate.
