Rear spring front bushings Question

1003 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Garbage_Mechanic
Hey Gals/Guys,

Want to change out the stock front spring hanger (eye on end of spring) rubber bushings on rear springs. Have velvets on the back end and was thinking I could just jack up (after removal of front eye bolt) until spring eye was below hanger. Pound out old rubber bushing and replace with what....? Stock Rubber or aftermarket poly any suggestions, part numbers etc would be great....anything I should be aware of before going at it??

Thanks,

jrc

When I had my velvets installed changed out the rubber (rear on leafs) to Poly (not the front eyes as they were ok at the time) and I have poly on the front springs...so will go with it unless someone has a better idea.

Hmm...squeek...my truck is so loud, I never noticed bushing squeek...perhaps I will pay attention tomorow...what have you done to eliminate...if I hear it above the din.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

Thanks,
